Tribute to a wonderful father-in-law
Love is a scarce commodity in this generation, but you had it abundantly!
Kindness and generosity disappeared from the hearts of men for reasons I don’t know, but they flow
out from you effortlessly!
You called me son very often, and you were indeed a father to me.
Yes! There was a time the devil got envious and almost soured our relationship, but because you
were so loving and forgiving, the trial passed and your love towards me was restored like nothing
ever happened.
I remember the last five or seven years of your life before you went to be with the Lord how you
often sat me down and told me stories about your experiences in life. Your journeys, your marriage
and work life. Then I sometimes would wonder how you remembered details after several years had
gone by. Thank God I see that trait also in your grandson, Demilade. Obviously, you passed it to him.
Dad, your love and generosity was second to none. Is it the calls you made to check on how I am
doing when I don’t visit for two or three days? Is it the gift you give my family frequently? Or the
weekend food and drinks! Again, I thank God you also passed the generosity to your daughter, my
wife.
Life is a journey, and you have completed your journey effectively by the lives you impacted with
your love and kindness. I know everyone that knew you has something positive and good to say
about you. Therefore, I wish you total rest-in-peace in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
I love you and will always do sir.
